Resident Manager and Staff

Resident Manager

The Resident Manager is responsible for the direction of the staff; the total operation and maintenance of the building; security; and providing advice and services to the unit owners and residents. The Gotham Condominium's Resident Manager is Mr. John Scully. His office is located on C2 and is open five days a week from 9:00am to 5:00pm. John Scully

Born in Ireland, John is the Gotham's Resident Manager. When he gets a break from his duties at the Gotham, he enjoys saltwater and fly fishing. John and his wife Marguerite have three children, Shane, Sabine, and Ciara.

Concierge

The primary responsibilities of the concierge is the security and privacy of residents. The concierge announces all guest and deliveries to the residents and accepts packages and other deliveries on behalf of the unit owners & residents.

Amy Lockhart

Amy lives in Brooklyn. She spends all of her free time with her two children, husband, family, and friends.

Julio Guzman

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Julio has been with the Gotham since 1995. In addition to his concierge duties, he is also the Gotham's resident magician, where he produces and stars in an annual magic show for our residents.

Curtiz Ortiz

A native of Manhattan, Curtis has been with the Gotham for more than 10 years. Curtis has always had an interest in art, studying at the School of Visual Arts and painting many murals in Harlem with school children.

Doorman

The primary responsibilities of the doorman is the security of the building and its residents. They are also responsible for opening the front door for residents and guests, and assisting with packages & luggage from cars to the lobby.

Tanase Bujduveanu

Tanase has been with the Gotham since the building first opened in May 1993. He enjoys attending church and soccer games.

Cesar Chavez

Cesar is originally from Ecuador, now living in the Bronx. He enjoys reading, swimming, and playing soccer in his spare time. Cesar has two children, Cesar Jr. and Eric.

Jeff Pollack

Jeff is a lifelong Brooklyn resident with a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters.

Back Doorman

Miguel A. Velez

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Brooklyn, Mike served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Division. He enjoys gardening and reading adventure and science fiction novels. For the last 14 years, he has lived in Effort, PA, a small town in the Poconos.

Handymen

The primary responsibilities of the handymen are to maintain and repair the building behind the walls and up to the valves in the individual units.

Gabriel Ruiz

Gabriel was born in New York, but grew up in Panama and Spain. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1989 and served in the Persian Gulf during Desert Shield and Desert Storm as a Missile & Radar Technician on the battleship U.S.S. Wisconsin. He is also an avid New York sports fan, rooting for the Mets, the Giants, and the Knicks.

Eduardo Cordeiro

Eduardo was born in Brazil, coming to the United States in 1989. He has a degree in Business Administration & Accounting from the Federal University of Minas Geraes. Eduardo has been with the Gotham for more than 11 years. He enjoys playing soccer and watching basketball in his leisure time.

Porters

The primary responsibilities of the porters are to maintain the common areas of the building, specifically the lobby, halls, compact room. Pay attention to interior security of the building.

Pedro Rodriguez

Born in Puerto Rico, Pedro came to New York at the age of 6. Prior to joining the Gotham, Pedro worked at the Plaza Hotel. He enjoys playing football and softball, fishing, and likes to sing.

Robert Viera

Robert joined the Gotham in 2001. He is from Puerto Rico.

Freddy Natal

Freddy enjoys playing pool and taking care of his birds and his saltwater aquarium. He likes to spend time with his four children.

Charles Reyes

Charles is from the Dominican Republic. He came to New York in 1991 and now lives in the Bronx. He likes spending time with friends and family. He especially enjoys a good game of softball.

Luca DiCiero

Luca is a lifelong resident of Astoria, Queens. He is now completing his A.A. and preparing to transfer to a 4-year college to get his B.A. He has worked in construction and retail for Abercombie & Fitch, but says working for the Gotham has been his best experience so far.

Raphael Julia

Prior to the Gotham, Raphael was the Assistant Manager at the famous Little Pie Company of the Big Apple, which you can check out by clicking here. He has been married for 12 years and has three wonderful children, Jonathan 11, Matthew 8, and Sabrina 5.

All staff wear nametags for security purposes.

Staff are prohibited from assisting any unit owner or resident during working hours in terms of:

  • conducting private business or services, e.g., painting, construction, or
  • leaving the building, e.g., run errands, since this is not covered by insurance

Concerns regarding the Resident Manager must be made in writing to the Board and left with the concierge

Concerns regarding the staff must be made in writing to the Mr. Scully - Resident Manager with a copy sent to the Board.
